The lodge looks out over the reserve’s vast plains and boasts various vantage points from which to view them. Its air-conditioned suites promise a comfortable refuge from the African sun. Apart from having expert game rangers, Riverdene Family Lodge also has a full team of staff to take good care of guests of all ages wherever they spend their time.
Accommodation
Riverdene Family Lodge offers comfortable accommodation in nine luxury suites with twin- or king-size beds. Three of these suites come complete with an additional sleeper couch and are ideal for families. All suites come furnished with an en-suite bathroom and a spacious living area complete with satellite TV. Additionally, there is also a beverage and microwave station in each room and guests have access to all of Riverdene’s stellar facilities. Meals are served in either the homely dining room or Boma overlooking the bushman’s river . The lodge’s swimming pool looks out onto Shamwari’s plains. The lodge also boasts a Kids Club and Outdoor Adventure Centre.
Family Friendly Experience
Children of all ages are welcome at Sarili and Riverdene. Children from the age of 4 years are welcome to join on game drives. For the youngsters under 4 child minders are available at an additional cost. Upon arrival all kids age 4 – 11 years will receive a Kids on Safari backpack filled with goodies to take with on game drive. The little ones will receive a soft toy. Riverdene has recently undergone renovations and now boasts a fantastic kids club with games, toys, and arts and crafts, as well as an outdoor Adventure Centre that offers unique entertainment for children of all ages. From elevated walkways among the trees to ziplines and climbing walls.
