Our Fynbos biome is both unique and spectacular to explore on foot. During these walks, guests will be introduced to the fascinating plants and their life cycles, as well as the endemic birds and animals that call the Fynbos areas of Gondwana home.
The Junior Ranger Programme is complimentary for guests with children.
Upon arrival, families are informed about the Junior Ranger programme, and their ranger will inquire about any special requests, dietary or otherwise, including babysitting.
Children receive a fun Ranger’s backpack and a cool safari booklet to fill in throughout their stay. During game drives and other activities with their ranger, kids are taught how to identify mammals, birds, Fynbos species, and even stars. They gain a greater understanding of conservation and our precious ecosystems.
Activities for younger children will mainly take place around the lodge to keep them closer to their parents.
Upon check-out, they receive a Junior Ranger certificate along with an “insta-pic” with their Junior Ranger.
