Gondwana’s Tented Eco Camp is the perfect getaway for nature enthusiasts. Travelers will be given a fixed itinerary upon arrival, which will include breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a range of activities such as exploring conservation sites and monitoring game drives. These activities will keep you busy all day, only returning to camp for a traditional bush dinner. Travelers will be heavily involved in wildlife management, veld management and learn basic bush skills. Travelers will also have the chance to reconnect with nature by researching ways to protect the environment, and show a renewed appreciation to the natural world. All feedback and research gathered during the activities goes directly to Gondwana Private Game Reserve’s conservation team, assisting in the reserve management plan.
Accommodation
Travellers will spend time at the base camp during the mornings and evenings to recover and relax after a long day of activities. The camp is eco-friendly and hidden away in the dense fynbos. We elevate the tents on raised decks and provide both double and twin options, each with its own en-suite bathroom. All tents come fully-equipped with a private deck, kitchen, lounge and dining area. The camp has an outdoor boma, where guests can dine under the stars.

Our expert field guides reveal Africa’s wildlife to Gondwana’s guests in a Cape Fynbos environment; a truly unique safari experience! Exhilarating encounters on game drive with endangered species like the Cheetah, Cape Mountain Zebra, and Rhinoceros will provide lasting memories. The free roaming Big 5 species also keep things interesting with many visits to the lodge from the elephants and lions! Gondwana is home to 17 carnivore species ranging from the small grey mongoose and small-spotted genet to medium-sized species such as the caracal and bat-eared fox, to the very large and powerful lion.
