Plett Game Reserve Reviews
What a gem. My husband and I enjoyed a 2 night stay at the Baroness Lodge (part of the Plettenberg bay game reserve). I would explain the lodge as rustic, yet comfortable. Lovely large 4 poster beds, traditional wooden floors and the largest bathroom I think I have ever set foot in.
Food is not for those used to gourmet cooking, but is excellent, tasty home cooking at its best. We were offered a choice of 4 meats each evening which we could pick 2 each to have cooked (cooked to your personal liking), served with vegetables and potatoes, equally as tasty!
Breakfast cooked to order as well as fruits, yoghurts, fruit juice, freshly baked muffins each morning and cereals. The game reserve itself was great, we opted for a game drive both days but horse back safaris are available too. We had the same guide both days who was excellent. His wealth of knowledge on all the animals was something to be admired and left us with far more information than we arrived with.
The only area that could have been improved upon would have been the option to have wifi in the bedrooms or TVs in the rooms. The duration of our 2 day stay was complete relaxation. Thank you! – SA2Wales
Wonderful place to stay Relaxing, quite and friendly Great staff and great manager They are always looking for your happiness and make sure you have a great stay You are in nature and inside the reserve with an amazing view over nature Highly recommended. – Renaud d
My wife and I stayed here on our recent visit to South Africa and we loved this place. It was heaven and we happened to be the only guests that night and we were treated like royalty by the staff. The food was amazing and cooked to perfection by Philip the head chef. Thanks to Regina, Linda and all the staff for making our stay so special. The accommodation was fantastic. – patrick g
